Founded in 1970, Thompson Rivers University (TRU) is a public institution with a current enrolment of approximately 10,000 students, including more than 750 international students from over 46 countries.

Over 100 programs are available at TRU, including four year degrees in over 40 disciplines, and a growing number of post-graduate specialties.
Additionally, TRU offers 19 major career diploma programs that provide an option to ladder into a bachelor's degree. TRU also offers
a wide range of one-year certificate programs, and English as a Second Language programs.

Bachelor of Business Administration

Course Introduction

Specializations take the form of majors consisting of eight or more courses. The majors prepare students to pursue a Professional Designation after graduation and provide the extensive course work needed to meet the core competencies established by the profession.

During their studies, students will receive high quality instruction from accomplished academics and practitioners. Case studies, class presentations, guest speakers, field trips, company reports, simulations, and business competitions are all used extensively to enhance the student's learning experience.

As a BBA graduate, you will have strong writing, presentation, critical thinking, and people skills which our Advisory Committee stresses are the cornerstones of future success. The graduates have demonstrated this ability to succeed in their careers, as well..

Transfer to Canada

Students can complete their BBA studies at Academies Australasia. On a selective basis, students who have successfully completed the BBA Year I and Year II of the TRU BBA program in Academies Australasia will be able to transfer to Thompson Rivers University, Canada to pursue year 3 and year 4 of the BBA program (Student must achieve IELTS score of 6.5).
