English for Foreign Students (EFS)
AAC's English Language Program
99% of our English language students go on to study diplomas and degrees and eventually go into business in a wide variety of fields. Because of this, our English for Foreign Students (EFS) Program is designed as a stepping stone - to provide our students with a firm foundation in this international language and to open doors to higher studies and challenging careers.
Our EFS Courses
We offer a comprehensive range of English courses in 5 levels tailored for all students - from beginner to proficiency. In each course, our highly-experienced lecturers focus on providing our students with the skills and confidence to master the English language in a stimulating classroom environment.

Our Lecturers
All of our lecturers are approved by Singapore Ministry of Education and are highly-qualified and experienced native speakers from as far apart as the USA, the UK and Asia. Between us, we have a wealth of experience, not only in teaching, but also in a wide range of careers. It is this experience that makes AAC's English Language Program so practical and relevant to our students.
Our Blog
In addition, our AAC Blog has proven to be a hit with our students who regularly contribute pieces of their work for the whole world to see!
Our Commitment
By the time you complete our EFS Program, you will be able to:
» write effectively in a variety of situations from simple letters and emails to more complex academic compositions, stories and technical writing.
» speak confidently in both everyday social situations and more formal career or academic situations such as giving presentations and discussing current issues. We place special emphasis on clear pronunciation.
» read accurately and quickly not by memorizing thousands of new words, but by learning how to understand English vocabulary.
» listen confidently and accurately in a wide range of social, academic and work-related situations.
Our Entry Requirements
All new students registering for EFS programs must sit for a Placement Test. This is free-of-charge and is designed to test your English language level. Once you have completed the Placement Test, you will be recommended the best level based on your results, including an oral interview.
Our Tests & Examinations
For each level of EFS, all students sit for a Mid-Term Test and a Final Examination. These tests are benchmarked against Waystage (Council of Europe specifications) and Cambridge ESOL. In addition, we conduct continuous assessment throughout the term. At the end of each term students who achieve 50% and above in their final score will be invited to progress to the next level.
